From Challenges to Comeback: CGCI Welcomes WELA Back for Smarter Education

After a year-long break, Core Gateway College, Inc. (CGCI) is making a strong comeback with WELA School Systems as its trusted digital solutions partner again. Starting Academic Year (AY) 2025-2026 on September 1, 2025, this renewed collaboration shows CGCI’s confidence in WELA’s proven reliability and functionality. It signals a fresh chapter of innovation, modernization, and success in the institution’s digital journey, both locally and globally.

From Transition to Renewal

WELA, a Philippine-based digital service provider, first partnered with CGCI in AY 2021–2022. However, the collaboration ended in AY 2023–2024 due to technical challenges. During this period, CGCI transitioned to another provider, which served as the official school system for AY 2024–2025.

While the other provider was appreciated for its user-friendly interface, many students and faculty pointed out difficulties in accessing accounts and navigating enrollment processes. In contrast, WELA had previously proven itself strong in terms of functionality and reliability.

Student Voices: Experience Matters

Students echoed their experiences with both systems.

  • Ashlee Nicole Enardisido, a Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEEd) student, shared:
“Sa grades, okay naman siya kasi nakikita ko talaga sa WELA pati ang Certificate of Registration (COR) at balance ng tuition fee.”
(It was okay because I could really see my grades, along with my COR and tuition balance in WELA.)
  • Grema Abella, a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) student, recalled her challenges with the other provider during her third-year enrollment:
“It was too complicated. Some students could not access the portal, especially since screenshots of the other provider's accounts were required on the first day of enrollment.”

Looking Forward: Innovation with WELA

With the partnership renewed, CGCI and WELA are committed to:
✔️ Improving the user interface for a more seamless experience
✔️ Introducing online tuition payment options for convenience
✔️ Gathering open suggestions from students, teachers, and staff to refine services

According to Mr. Rolando Soliven from the College of Social Sciences and Technology (CoSSTech), WELA’s comeback is a strategic move to balance functionality and accessibility, ensuring that CGCI’s digital journey aligns with the needs of its community.

Additionally, CGCI is set to launch its official school website soon, further advancing its efforts to keep pace with fast-changing, technology-driven communities.

WELA’s Commitment

At WELA, we are honored to once again be part of CGCI’s academic journey. This renewed partnership is a step toward fostering innovation, efficiency, and digital growth—empowering schools to adapt and thrive in today’s modernized education landscape.
